. While many Afghans understand that the rest of the world (most of it) has gone beyond tribalism to the more efficient nation state, Afghanistan is still firmly stuck in the tribal phase of cultural development.

Not concerned. We'll just withdraw to Pakistan, and leave stay-behind CIA crews in the Uzbek, Tajik, Hazara and Persian parts of Afghanistan (Panjshir Valley, north of Mazar-i-Sharif, Bamiyan, Herat). Once SHTF in Pashtunland we'll roll back in with airpower like it was 2001. If Karzai wants to be hanged from a lamp-post like Najibullah, I say let him sign his own death warrant. I guess we can find some other Pashtun to work with...

Guess you haven’t heard that the road though Pakistan is closed again, by the local governor this time, and the central government isn’t taking much action. The Coalition is leaving by the northern route.

For the rest of you plan (as far as I can understand it), sounds about right.  Except I wouldn't bother with finding another Pashtun, they've had their chance.
