- Pentagon affirmed the finding of an earlier study that F-35 is two years behind schedule and would cost "billions more". < link > - UK has cut its planned F-35 orders from 138 to 50 citing the "out of control" F-35B cost. Now the second carrier will only field helicopters. - Obama has surrendered on F136 alternate engine program issue and will sign the defense budget bill with it in. < link >

Thanks for sharing the picture.  Seems the RAM is not really a coating but more like a pelt.

it might just be for the UK one, it gets dam cold in england
f-35's first overseas order is on the line, i wonder if rafale is offering this enhancement, it could be why it hasnt sold any so far

Indeed, it work make sense that the RAM is customized for local climes.  Seems to be a major advancement if the RAM is resistant to moisture and other adverse conditions.  This also explains why running sheep don't register on radar speedguns.

its also for when on deployment,  incase  they get homesick for their regular sheep bed partner back home, camels just arent the same
