Subject: russia to buy rafales pixie dust
jackjack    10/11/2009 8:33:59 AM
just what we need is another rafale topic..LOL link h*tp://www.defensenews.com/story.php?i=3658019 Thales Targets Sales in Russia Paris - Thales is looking for export sales of its airborne optronics equipment on to Russian-built fighters, given that the U.S. market is effectively closed to foreign suppliers of such gear, CEO Denis Ranque said. That weakness in the fleet of Sukhoi and MiG fighters has opened up opportunities for selling products such as the Damocles targeting pod and OSF infrared search-and-track equipment fitted on the Rafale fighter from France's Dassault Aviation, Ranque says.

45-Shooter    Rafale RCS joke?   10/22/2009 8:35:56 PM
Hate to pop your balloon, but every single one of those pictures shows significant defects in either design or manufacture that compromises the RCS! Inspite of being taken at much longer ranges than the other set of pics! Just to show that those defects are not that hard to see, look at every area of the plane with "Concave" curves!

if you want to see another poor example of why it can't be "magical" then look at the heat shield above the stove pipe and sitting under the skeg.

that sensor must have taken a hammering - which means that it was an engineering afterthought.

gf, thats a common mistake by the casual observer to see it as a bent bit of tin for a shroud, when infact its the 5th gen ir stealth management
ceramics and such are obsolete now

Showing old test aircraft photo in defense exhibition which has been tested and tested, is not a proof of anything
Dassault know how to adjust panel perfectly.See a Falcon or a brand new Rafale F3
