Subject: Hatoyama's dream : Kick Americans out of Japan.
SlowMan    9/2/2009 5:34:06 PM
< link > < link > Newly elected Japanese government's diplomatic friction with the US is beginning, starting with stopping of refueling of US warships near Afghanistan by JMSDF ships and removal of Futenma US Marine airbase in Okinawa completely off Japan instead of another place within Japan. Japan Democratic Party is expected to call for a ban on entry of US nuclear submarines into Japanese ports next. It is interesting to note that Japan Democratic Party long called for complete removal of US troops from Japan, with single exception of the 7th fleet in Yokosuka and convert Self Defense Force into a full military in the name of self-reliance on national defense. Ironically, Japan Democratic Party's drive to kick Americans out of Japan would only increase its desire to acquire advanced American weapons since they would need American weapons to fill the void of American troop removal. Expect Japan's demand for F-22 to get only louder.

@ gf0012-aust > you present as having an impaired sense of comprehension about UDT signal management and even moreso about assessment in procurement

No, what I understand is that you worked on Collins class project and you had nothing to do with 209's development other than the evaluation of 209 platform for a possible Aussie adaptation.

So how does evaluating 209 translate into developing 209's signal emissions management, especially considering the fact that the "signal" to manage in a sub is noise?

why do I bother...
signature management is not just about noise.  subs in absolute terms are moving transducers.
I've worked on other sub projects.
I've worked on evaluation teams for different combat systems and solutions.  thats as a consultant/contractor, employee and for govt
When you evaluate subs you get access to all the friendly data on their operational profiles, what the vendor "elects to conveniently avoid" you get off your friendly partners.  how do you think evaluations on fighters are done?  a sub is an underwater fighter with a different range of requirements.
When you assess a platform you do it against a matrix which for things like a submarine may be something like 10,000+  proscribed critical criteria.  They're battle and operational criteria, they're support criteria, they're through life issues, they're integration issues.
The assessment criteria for one class of sub weighed close to one tonne of material.  thats before receiving friendly feeds from other sources.
you can dumb this down as much as you like, but assessing subs and combat fighters is one of  the most complex evaluations assessment teams will do.  hence when I see some of the throw away lines about what JSF can/cannot do, F-22 can/cannot do, Sukhoi Flanker family can/cannot do, Rafale can/cannot do etc.. my eyes roll in to the back of my head.
finally, I'm am completely over your inability to understand these issues but pretend that you do have special insight due to some onanistic need to be visible on here.  Pull your head in a little and I'll engage, carry on like some expert adolescent who's access to expertise is via the internet and ignoring those who actually have done this kind of work and been involved in the real world is why you get treated with contumelious indifference.
your choice

I will strongly recommend you to move to Hollywood you can make a lot of money using your unlimited imagination.
I surely enjoyed your black humor and ignorance. I have laughed so strong that I had to move to the other room to do not disturb people around me. But honestly your skewed view of Japan is too much sick and insane. Surely that is not you fault you have been educated to hate Japan and do not care about your brothers and sisters of the North. Please do not blame Japan for the division of Korea we left in 1945. Your people has been fighting each other for more than 50 years, even after the end of Cold War, that is more enough time to find at least peace and unify the nation. You should start to blame you own people on the both side of parallel 38th, especially Kim the first, Kim the second and the new Kim the third. But yes you said you do not care about them who are a more important and dangerous threat for you and your brothers and sisters of the North and South.
Keep your fantasies and plan for you wherever you are in Chosen Hanto (Korean Peninsula) either North or South if you are there.
Also, I suggest you to post only about Korea, about Japan you can only post nonsense based on your prejudices and ignorance.
Already I have concluded that you are a TROUBLED MIND, for me there is no need to bother anymore. But thank for the jokes and the fun you are now part of the list of ignored posters.

OK, I've sent in a petition to have Bluewings removed from the forum for aggravated trolling (flames, unsubstantiated statements and outright falsities reducing the quality of the board for subsequent years). Regardless of whether you find him entertaining or not I encourage you to a great degree to join this measure.

I was actually starting to see reasonable conversations about the Rafale and other topics on French matters until he reappeared.

You have my vote, Deici.

SlowMan: well, I admit I've hit the end of my rope.  Anyone who holds the sins of 70 years ago over the heads of people who weren't even born at the time has some real issues.  You admit you'd even watch the deaths of thousands on TV for your own amusement.  Again, as I mentioned, the "Great Naval Showdown" is a certainty in your mind only because you want it to be, not because it bears any resemblance to reality.  Your hatred for the Japanese people is nothing short of racist, and the only reason I haven't written Sysops on it is because I believe that even you deserve the right to free speech--probably more than vice-versa, I imagine.

Sadly, my degree is in history, not psychology, so I can't tell what's wrong with you other than terminal douchebaggery.

It is way past time both bluewings and slowkid got banned.  They contribute nothing and spend the vast majority of their time trolling.

I don't expect they will be banned though because the mods here generally seem to be asleep at the switch, were it not so bluewings would be nothing but a memory by now.

Thousands dying on TV? Sounds like 9/11. I had a friend who celebrated after that... I smacked him.

Well, just do what I did, send in a comment through the feedback comment thingamajig. If that doesn't work I'll just find their contact email and start hitting it regularly.

Anyway, yeah, I thought Japan needed a change... any change... but judging by his bravado about his libido and his crazy wife Japan is in for bleaker times ahead. Wth, maybe he's got a few good ideas as well as bad ones, like Obie.

At least he wants a proper military for Japan though... sorta... I'm not sure if he's going to change the Constitution for that when he warbles about not helping the US because that violates the constitution.

As a Hong Konger I see that China has no designs on Japan, but we've designs on our neighbors further south, something Japan would likely want to stop... and if they don't continue to stay ahead of us they'll be in a sore sport if they try to intervene. So in a really arrogant mean racist way this poor treatment of the Amies will lead to a more self-reliant Japan.

As for now their navy is still way ahead of us though our subs are getting better. Tossing the F22 out on the ear only makes China smile. :) (hey, I think my country is evil, but it's still my country)

*hopes Japan doesn't bother to get the F35 and other noisy planes ;P

Yikes, you're probably right about Slowman, Sentinel and Rufus.

Japan responsible for NK? That's bull. That was our fault (China). Durh.

All the Japs did was take over Korea, and they didn't run an abomination like NK. Korea was split because of the victors of WWII... that's basic history.

About him being racist towards the Japanese I mean. I'm of no particular opinion about SlowMan in general, some of his posts and threads are reasonable (even good, though unsubstantiated) while others are not.
About 2Chan -- it's genious! Sure a lot of twisted fsckery goes on there, but there's plenty of genious too.

@ Maruben

> I will strongly recommend you to move to Hollywood you can make a lot of money using your unlimited imagination.

I do not want to get sued for copyrights violation since there are plenty of movies and novels on the subject.

@ cwDeici

Hatoyama seeks Japan to become a normal nation again, complete with a real military capable of offensive strikes and the right to declare war. Hatoyama's plan to issue a formal written apology to China and Korea is the first step in this normalization process.

> As a Hong Konger I see that China has no designs on Japan

Not on Japanese mainland or Okinawa, but on Senkaku Islands. China seeks some kind of military victory to get even with Japan and seizing Senkaku Islands serves that purpose.

>  All the Japs did was take over Korea

And set in motion the chain of events that resulted in creation of North Korea. Mainland China wouldn't be PROC today, it would be Republic of China, a democracy.

Yes. 2ch.net is a reflection of the darker side of Japanese society. There, you can read about the real Honne of Japanese rightwingers, while people like gf0012 and Rufus get fooled by Tatemae.
