-I simply cited sensor fusion, w/MFDs as examples as I am not involved in either projects to have the luxury of knowing such facts as I would imagine you are so I can't see how you can write of the EF2000 as inferior to the F/A 22 when they were conceived at the same time and have been developed in parallel in order to face a common threat from the USSR and have been remarkably adjusted to face more modern threats. I would say that the precise technical details of the Typhoon have not been made available to the US as they are for one not involved in any way with the project like SEPECAT and PANAVIA before it and to suggest that the UK, Germany would just meekly hand over the blueprints of the EF Typhoon to US contractors so they are able to surpass it?s capabilities is a perhaps tad naïve in my opinion as the UK is a very senior partner in the F-35 project. To suggest that the Typhoon is inferior to the F/A 22 in such a broad fashion is, coming from a design background quite a slur on the very hard working and skilled people who are working at the very cutting edge of their field to produce a truly remarkable piece of machinery. Just because it is not American does not mean it is inferior.
