The Russians lost an SU-25 during a training mission over Primorye. Reports from Interfax indicate that the aircraft exploded in mid-air - most likely due to a weapons malfunction.

The Russian air force has temporarily grounded all SU-25s pending the investigation into the crash.

The Russians are now reporting that the SU-25 Frogfoot was "shot down" by a wingman in a friendly fire incident instead of the weapons malfunction.  Meanwhile, all the SU-25s remain grounded pending the investigation.
