Subject: Infra-Red AASM validated

The French company SAGEM succefully tried the latest version of the AASM Bomb-Missile , equipped with an IR seeker .

During the test , SAGEM volontarly gave GPS coordinates OFF by more than 100m to see if the seeker could aquire the target on its own by visual recon , and it did . The target was a building in an industrialized area . The bomb-missile identified the building-target amongs other buildings through clever algorithms and modified its course by itself to destroy the right target .

That 's a clever trick from an excellent system , kudos to SAGEM .

Cheers .
