Subject: Camouflage question

Just looked at a picture on a thread below of an Avro Vulcan which had the disruptive gray & green camouflage pattern continued onto the bottom. I believe the B-1 also had a similar gray & green pattern for a few years though now I believe it's all gray. Why would someone have an overland pattern on the bottom of a heavy bomber?
