Just wait until good ol' Oz buys into NMD! Whilst I am no fan of the senior service - darn swabbies!, I think my fellow navally inclined SP contributors would put up an argument that the thrilling, exciting, gee I can't wait, I'm wetting myself in anticipation Air warfare destroyers will quickly dispatch any nasties that care to challenge the might (yeah right!) of the RAN. I on the otherhand am not overly moved by said procurement (can you tell?), but as the Navy is akin to the Army - Whores must have their trinkets.

The decision to buy up to 100 JSF, for me was as exciting a moment as when I heard that we were to replace the best F-86 Sabre variant on the planet with 116 of the very worst dog-woeful jets the world has ever seen (ok, so the USN Demon was probably a tad worse than the Miracle, but I digress). ;(

Drop just remember it takes a well rounded defense. So while the Army and RAN may be greedy. They are vital.

" Unfortunately China still has our beloved HMAS Melbourne and unless you can personally convince the US Congress to allow foreign military sales of said strat bomber to Oz, I shan't hold my breath. P.S. Does the "pretend carrier" we may get two of count in your books?

Drop, dont underestimate the F-35. It truly will have no equal other than the F-22 no matter what some of our European friends think of their ECD. The F-35 and F-22 represent the pinnical of modern fighter technology and fundamentally alter things compared to conventional fighters. BTW, what variant are you getting?

Our Lepard tanks are good for dropping 2000lb LGB's on and the Anzac frigates would be handy for practicing JASSM firings. See, you are coming round to my way of thinking! :)

" We will be buying the overly expensive sourc-code lacking, range defficient, AGM-142 averse, single-engined, I have crashed into the ocean and have to contend with the sharks, RCS export downgraded, low-rate initial doesn't do what we want Block1 derivative F-35A. Should be a real beauty!!!
