I think the F-22 can destroy it, but not the F-35.

Bush will win, I dont think the F-22 or F-35 can shoot a SU-37 out of the sky.

And why is that bluewings? You never hesitate to question the air supremecy of the US, but when someone questions the "supremecy" (or lack thereof) of a European country, you get all defensive. Why?

I forgot to add one thing we should all be thinking about, the F-22 is three times the price of the Eurofighter, so if EU had as much money as US the Eurofighter would out number the F-22 three to one.

My point is that in a battle numbers do matter, and that should be taken into consideration.

Number do matter but there is no reason an F-22 wouldnt kill each and every Typhoon, or any other conventional fighter, until it ran out of missiles. Then it could simply supercruise away without being engaged. link They best way to beat an F-22 without a similar aircraft, and there is none, is to fight it asymetrically. SOF raids, Ballistic missiles, Cruise missiles, crater runways ect. To try to engage it in the air is suicide. You cant even run from a Raptor in a conventional plane. None of this takes away from the other great a/c out there but the F-22 is simply in a class by itself. Quite unfair, as it should be.

Don 'y get me wrong Bushwillwin . F-22 is a better Aircraft but the task to down a Typhoon is no walk in the park . I think F-22 would win the fight , but not everytime . Cheers .

I agree the F-22 can shoot planes out of the sky until it runs out of missles, but the SU-37 with Russian radar can detect the the F-22. I am not sure but I think the SU-37 also has the supercruise capability, but I think it can only cruise at mach 1.3, correct me if I am wrong. The SU-37 can also out manuver a F-22 if things ever got close.

The F-22 will shoot down any other fighter each and everytime they meet UNLESS the pilot chooses to engage in foolish WVR dogfighting. IF a dogfight happens then the F-22 will still have the advantage in all performance and manuvering parameters but HMS and modern AAMs can still easily out manuver any fighter. But the F-22 will have the ability to disengage at will in most cases where other fighters will not. As to your comment that the SU-37 can track the F-22, that is true. But then all fighters can track an F-22 if its within a few kms. The SU-37 will not track the F-22 at BVR ranges and this will be a huge disadvantage.

Where do you have the information that a F-22 can out manuver a SU-37. Russian pilots would be trained to fly below radar if they knew F-22's are in the area, then they would engage F-22's in dog fight where I think the SU-37 has the advantage.
