Subject: Future Surface Combatant?
EssexBoy    7/15/2008 1:09:11 PM
Just wondering if anyone has any hard info on what the govt. meant when they said they were bringing the project forward. I though it was an odd thing to say at the time as they haven't made their minds up what they want, let alone placed any orders. Call me cynical but I suspect it was just intended to distract attention from the cancellation of T45s 7 and 8.

Somebody please prove wrong.

Thanks for that.

Still can't see how the mod can claim that the project has been brought forward; the "expected" ISD is still the end of the next decade and they still haven't decided what number or  type of ship is to be ordered.

Not much more than spin imho.
