The British SBS are the best in my opinion becuase:
1) To become a member of the SBS, you first have to train to be a Royal Marine commando which is a very tough.
2) During training they use live ammunition to make the battlefield real
3) They train all over the world, Jungles, Antartic etc.
The training for U.S. Navy SEALs is probably the toughest in the world. And the SEALs training is very dangerous. ppl actually die in the training ,     commonly.      (Live ammunition, natural occurences(drowning, Hypothermia, dehydration.)

join the SEALs, do their training(if you can handle it.)     i dont think anyone would be happy if thry just dropped you in a desert and pointed you the way back(if you were lucky.)then fly away and forget about you.

and the SERE training for the SEALs is brutal also.    they use a method that has been classified as Torture, waterboarding.  and it isnt a pleasant experience.

Agreed.

No disrespect intended ass kicker, but your posts are pretty lacking in knowledge and read something like a wiki entry.

Just a quick note in lieu of all of the Spetsnaz bashing.

I was reading on another forum that Gabe Suarez sometimes posts at, and he seems to think that the Ruski's has the whole CQB thing down better than the Western SOF units. He said that it is a very broad statement of course, but he feels they have the 'short game' better and that the West has the 'long game' better figured out. He mentioned how western CQB is heavily influenced by the SWAT community, and the Russians don't always have the same concerns. Not trying to take his words out of context at all. Just found it curious.

The SEALs are the best.

There the best trained in the world.

They are most successful in their operations.

And they are the most revered and most feared fighting force in the world.

That is my opinion on them, nothing can change, nothing will, thats what the SEALs are in my eyes.

And i dont care what other ppl think of me right now, call me ignorant, stupid, inexperienced.

Its true, i dont know anything, thats my opininion.

Thank you.

You can have your opinion dude. Just don't broadcast it like this.

JSOC has the best units in the US. That includes DEVGRU (formerly ST6) also. It's hard to match them when they shoot almost daily, have a huge budget, get all of the best facilities, get training priority, have the toughest selection courses (not by washout necessarily), and get the best operators. HOWEVER, it is very possible for there to be some exceptional operators in other units that aren't "Tier 1" or JSOC...it just depends. But as far as an entire unit is concerned, JSOC is your best bet in the US. Again though, on an individual level it all depends on the person. Some operators are exceptional, and they also do training courses on their own dime at other schools/courses.

JSOC - Joint Special Operations Command.

They contain CAG, DEVGRU, and a few other units as well.

Hey ass kicker, have you ever heard of a unit called CUB from the nation of Melbourne? They'd make your little SEALS run to the toilet. These guys will make you regret taking them on in the morning, I can tell you.
