Subject: Georgian SOF
GOP    8/18/2008 2:00:55 AM
With all of the talk on the Russian-Georgian conflict, I thought I'd ask about the Georgian Special Operations units.

Who are they?
How are they organized?
Are they well thought of in the community?
Have they been active in the GWOT?

Also, sort of a random thought. But from every news report I read (I read alot), andn every clip I have seen, it seems to be that the Russian Armor would be a somewhat easy and high priority target for the Georgian SOF guys. Why were they not hit more? Some well-trained opposition armed with effective anti-tank weapons could have inflicted some massive damage in my opinion.
