Subject: S.A.S Troops

im pretty new on this so,i just thought i'd start with this.I think that the air troop propably has the more dodgy job within the regiment(although mountain troop can be quite dangerous)because when they insert via HAHO they usually end up seperated and have to meet at a rendevouz point pre-arranged then carry on with the mission.

So basically join as a soldier if you want to pursue a career in the uksf.

Yes, NCO's run SF units, officers are there to sign the paperwork, many men have done 15-20+ years in the SAS, very rewarding times in service, now thats not to say by a long shot that the soldiers in regular units are not good, many men who would have been fantastic SF soldiers never went for it, it was just not their thing

...yeah but when it comes to pensions
well i know my stint was more than rewarding, would be nice to have that healthy monthly through the mail though
