Subject: SEAL team 6
GOP    10/2/2005 9:22:42 PM
I do not know much about SEAL team 6, other than it is a SEAL team which specializes in CT operations. My question is this: Why does the Navy need a Counter-Terrorist capability? All SEAL teams are capable of hostage rescue, and the only situations that will warrant a SEAL team in CT would be a hostage situation on a cruise ship, and all SEAL teams train for this. Delta is primarily made for CT/hostage rescue, and are very capable of fast roping out of a helicopter onto a cruise ship, so why the need for SEAL team 6? I am not an expert at all on this, but it just seems to me to be a way for the Navy to get into the action in the War on Terrorism

lol, im the guy that does the PSY-OPS in my airsoft team. but im getting tired of the "SEAL dude" aka reshtet going on and on about how hes a SEAL, SEALs are humble, kind, caring people, they care for the needs of others and have no thought to their safety or discomforts, Reshtet you dont fit that description, im not saying all SEALs are like that, im trying to get a point through that, because of the training and missions they do theres just no room for mistakes, and people that want to play the hero, or be "Rambo" as some ppl call it, can mess things up for a SEAL team, because the guys that play the heroes are usually the ones who are cocky, preppy and unproffesional, and you cant have that in the SEAL teams, or anywhere else really, now to the topic of whether the navy should disband SEAL team 6 or DEVGRU
(Navy Developmental Group) wouldnt be a good idead, since all the platoons train for a different area of Warfare, (i.e. SEAL team 10 trains for SR, SEAL team 1 trains for DA) it gives it so that instead of everyone all training in the same subject and every subject, they train for one Subject and become FLAWLESS in it, all SEALs know how to do any ype of warfare from, Over the Beach, to Clandestine Surreptious Entry into Iran to blow up Facilities that produce Harmful materials(raids.) so its a good thing to have a certain group to be training in 1 area, still masters in all areas but honing there talents in CT, especially one the Navy tried to kep secret but it leaked, since it would be nice to have a Secret CT team, but since it leaked it wasnt, and whats the point of disbanding it when it so useful to have one. thx guys. c ya l8er. goin to bed.

I mentioned once I was in specwar dude! Therefore you have a seared conscience from pretending to know

and being given high-fives too long....

What on God's green earth are you talking about?  You do realize that you resurrected a three year old thread to try and bash this guy right?

And you can surf in Texas.  Glen Campbell wrote a song all about it.

I'm dissing your strategy....You don't live on or near a base do ya? Then you would understand....

Well as a matter of fact I do live near one... and have for going on twenty years now.

You want to diss my strategy?  Ok feel free... but I haven't even given you any strategy yet.  Which is sort of an auto-diss on your own strategy.

But I digress.  Right now its more fun watching you try to pick through the "static" and sarcasm than trying to talk you into a hole.  All in good time.
