Subject: The Activity

Ok, so I bought the book "Killer Elite", and in it it talks about a unit called "Tactical concept Activity" (I believe is the current name). Basically, they are a unit that provides HUMINT and SIGINT to the military (primarily the 6 SMU's)...but they also have some shooters. In the book, they appear to make the claim that these guys tracked down Saddam and Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi. Now, I have heard that TF121 (or whatever) captured Saddam, and they were made up of JSOC and CIA assets only. And TF312 (or whatever) captured Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, and they were also made up of strictly JSOC and CIA assets (SAD primarily). I have heard from some poster on SOCNET that some of claims are bs...but not sure who to believe. Obviously don't want any OPSEC violations, but just curious what your views are on this. Mough, I know you know something. I don't feel comfortable asking any of the SOF guys I know about this, as I usually avoid any kind of talk about any books, or anything close to opsec.

Should be "Killed" Zarqawi, not "captured". My grammar in the last post is horrible.

OK, I'm sorry kid, but all I can say is, part's of the book are good, other's are not, the guy who wrote it is an actual poster on SOCNET. under his own name, the unit is part of JSOC, and they were involved in the different TF's in A-stan and Iraq as well as other places, ...thats all, I can't say what exactly they did/where they did it in country, you have to understand, in JSOC, their secrecy is extreme even compared to CAG....so it would be great if  no one else with any knowlage of them would post here please

Like Mough said basically.  Some stuff just isn't talked about in person, much less on the internet.  Compared to what you're talking about, CAG and DEVGRU might as well star in their own weekly reality TV shows and give guided tours of their compounds twice a day.
