Hey Lads
I was a member a few years back and have come back with a new account.

The reason is I just had the new helo fly over my backyard (nearly crap/pissed in pure joy LOL). what a sight/sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday we had two Seakings fly over, haven't seen one in the flesh for about 15yrs. I did wonder if they where here in relation to the MRH's and I assume I was correct because of the flyover this morning.

anyway I with stop babbling on now.
Have a good one!

Matt

And the RAN sent a SK to fly around Bathurst this weekend, seems a funny way to promote yourself to people. RAAF sends Roulettes and a Hornet to fly around and RAN sends a classic like that. Maybe it was for nostagia, like driving a Torana around the Mountain.

You still live here don't you? Go to one of the regular Temora flying weekends and you can see both a Sabre and a Canberra, and go on the right weekend you can see a Hornet doing manouvers as well.

The Sabre is flying again after quite a while, used to love seeing it when we still had airshows in SA.  My favorite though was and remains the Sea Fury; mmmm......the sweet sound of the Bristol Centaurus. I have photos somewhere I took in the late 80's at Parafield Airport of everything I could, including the Tracker, Mustang, Sabre, Canberra (Static display). Another airshow at Edinbough I snapped an Aurora, Nimrod, and Lynx.

The Sea King is new, I don't remember it being there the last few years (didn't manage to get down there this year :( )

They also had a smaller Helicopter with the camera this year i noticed on TV, and Lownes/Wincup lost. :(

They did, and then Ford dumped their sponsorship. I assume they got a sponsorship deal with holden or something similar.
