link >> Ah... Helen Liu ... linked to the PLA? Meeting with pols and Generals? Hey - this is downunder not Washington DC!! << DEFENCE Minister Joel Fitzgibbon mixed with some of China's most powerful military generals and Communist Party leaders on a 2002 trip to China paid for by wealthy businesswoman Helen Liu. Cutting short Christmas celebrations with his wife and family, Mr Fitzgibbon attended a Chinese military art exhibition with Ms Liu in Beijing on Boxing Day 2002 with six three-star generals, 60 lower-ranking generals and 700 Chinese VIPs.

So a private citizen has facilitated a business trip for a senior opposition member that by the sound of it would have been of more value to a future defence minister than the usual political junket.

This actually sounds like it has potential, private funding to send officials to conferences and exhibitions.

Alas - I have only US beer to drink which is like making love in a canoe (****ing close to water).  Thus I am driven to hallucinations by my overwhelming thirst.
At the moment I am seeing little guys in green suits with red stars but... no buckles on their shoes!
