-Has anyone heard anything about land 17 (arty replacement), i thought about 3-4 months ago, they said it will take 100 days to come to a decision.

-Also what is the latest on project overlander? what vehicles have they selected?

-Lastly, what happened to pushing for the f-22 and getting a decision by April from US congress.

Defence will release the unclass versions of the results and reports once PM&C authorise it....

I'd put money on it not being available.  Considering the fact that they even mangle explaining the process involved to get it released, then that suggests that they are either:
- engaging in tokenism
- already have a fair idea about the answer
- have again been unofficially told
- are engaging in colour and movement.
take your pick.  my views haven't changed in 5 years as to our chances - and even more so now.

I'll put my money on Fitzgibbon hoping that it won't be released, because according to recent reports the air combat capability report is going to come up in favour of the F-35 anyway. Saying "oh well, those nasty Americans wouldn't give us access to their F-22, but at least we tried", is politically a lot easier than saying "we are getting the F-35 because, despite my electioneering, there was never any prospect of us affording the F-22 and because it doesn't do what we need it to anyway.

Land 121 'Overlander'?  Mercedes G-wagen and the BAE/Armor Holding/S Stevenson (whatever they're called) FMTV were selected. No word yet on an armoured patrol vehicle. (SF patrol vehicles different project; they chose a Supacat design)

F-22? Reports suggest business as usual (F-35 purchase - no suprise), clearly suggested that F-22 is unsuitable. May delay/stagger the orders due to SuperBugs. Other than keeping the production going (F-15s are literally falling apart more F-22s likely), no real incentives for the US to sell.

Land 17? Confirmed is that it's Pzh 2000 vs K9 Thunder. And M777.

Rumor has it BAE are looking at buying or leasing the Mitsubishi Tonsley site to assemble them.
