So what's with inviting folks from all over the commonwealth to come play in your backyard then hogging all the medals? Seriously congratulations on your rather impressive lead in the medals.

i gave a quick look at this stuff , recently when i was abroad... pitiful. Did the queen shoot the start ?? A rugby game with 7 players ...a bowl game looking the french "pétanque" ...and so on. Anyway I dislike these "between us" games like "les jeux de la francophonie" , the mediterranean games " where Israel is forbidden to participate, the "jewish olympic games " in israel , only for jews. etc ... Stop with discrimination !

"i gave a quick look at this stuff , recently when i was abroad... pitiful." where did you go to a commonwealth games? "Did the queen shoot the start ??" shoot the start? as in a horse race? as in an anglo version of the schutzenfest? you've lost me on this. You do understand that quote/unquote "HM Queen Elizabeth II is the Head of the Commonwealth and is recognised as the 'symbol of their free association' by members of the association. " "A rugby game with 7 players ..." and you have difficulty understanding the game even though it has less players? "a bowl game looking the french "pétanque" ...and so on." I see its time for a genealogy lesson. Bocci - developed from the roman game of bowls Bowls - developed in the 1500's Petanque - formally established at the turn of last century - in actual fact its less than 100 years old and obviously traces its heritage to the other two. It appearss to be the equiv of "7 a side" rugby in that sense. ;) "Anyway I dislike these "between us" games like "les jeux de la francophonie" , the mediterranean games " where Israel is forbidden to participate, the "jewish olympic games " in israel , only for jews. etc ... Stop with discrimination !" and the discrimination lies where? there are 53 countries in free association with a common history? what bit don't you understand? Interesting that you think it discriminates when the members are diverse and include, jews, christians, hindus, muslims, sikhs, tribal gods etc..... the discrimination is obviously not religious.... there are people who are white, yellow, brown, black etc... so its not discriminating on colour? there are people who speek english, chinese, malay, portuguese, french, african dialects etc... so it doesn't discriminate on language considering the fact that its based on a free association linked by common historical links, ala heritage - then where is the discrimination? the games allows disabled athletes to compete during the abled events - unlike the Olympics which makes them feel even more "special" by running a separate event you're a very confusing individual who obviously wants to be able to participate in some kind of sporting event - but doesn' t qualify for the Maccabi Games, Commonwealth Games, etc... that would seem to indicate that you should either try for the Olympics - or take your head out of your arse and register for the Disabled Olympics perhaps?

a)i saw that on tv b) your queen is not mine. but i respect her. c) history of bowl games does not interest me , except that this game is not present in the "normal" Olympic Games. The rugby7 is stupid. d) the definition of discrimination : "action to distinguish one from another" so the discrimination is not inside these games but if you have a global view , yes. The olympic games ( with the disabled games just after) don't bring discrimination in a worldwide point of view. I hope you understand it what i mean ? e) confusing individual : hey buddy , keep your insult for you , ok ?

"c) history of bowl games does not interest me, except that this game is not present in the "normal" Olympic Games." the clear and unadulterated fact is - the Commonwealth Games has no relationship to the Olympics - hence, if all 53 members thought it worthy, we could have Hoola Hoop competitions. ;) I assume that if France decided to run their own version of the Imperial Games (including Tahiti and bits of Caledonia, Seychelles and Algeria) that you'd include Petanque so as to reinforce the Frankish aspect of the competition. "The rugby7 is stupid" that may well be so, but then some people might wonder why have petanque when bowls and bocce already exist. Some people have the same view of Indoor Soccer or Speed Soccer. "d) the definition of discrimination : "action to distinguish one from another" so the discrimination is not inside these games but if you have a global view , yes. The olympic games ( with the disabled games just after) don't bring discrimination in a worldwide point of view. I hope you understand it what i mean ?" actually, I don't, who was discriminated against? who felt left out? who wanted to play but couldn't? The Commonwealth is pretty egalitarian - we even let Mozambique join in 1995 even though they were never a British possession. If as a Frenchman you felt left out, then I'm sure you could establish a case for some form of participation - after all, there is a relationship between the Commonwealth and La Francophonie. The LF is a group of French-speaking nations, and the relationship is a collaborative one. In March 1998 a joint Commonwealth-La Francophonie Group observed the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Seychelles at the invitation of the Seychelles Government. "e) confusing individual : hey buddy , keep your insult for you , ok ?" actually, that kind of comment is more of paternal affection and suggestion than an insult, ;) australian insults are usually a bit more vigorous and specific. if you hang around the board long enough I'm sure you'll see some slip into 2nd or 3rd gear. Biologically speaking they also tend to be intrusive - not extractive.
