What sort of destruction will these two old ships be greeted with? Air Force missiles, ship launched harpoons, sub launched torps, 5 inch gun poundings, Is this info known?

Based on fictional scenarios, the exercise includes combined Special Force operations, parachute drops, amphibious landings, artillery and infantry manoeuvres, air combat training and advanced maritime operations. Wow! Looks like we'll be staging a small war down under. Of course, it's just a little practice with our Oz allies (wink, wink), heh heh heh!

This is going to draw ChiCom recon resources like a magnet. ;) Tell me about it. It seems that the PRC felt a little left out so they tried to send one of their subs to join in. China has gotta learn that if you want to sneak around, you need to be a little quieter than a blender full of nails. Mind you, the Russians must think that there are a lot of fish off the QLD coast right now. They are just here for the fishing, right? ;)

Let them play chicken with a 10K ton ship a few times. Also the SEALs would love to get their attention with their boats. Was sailing on Tuesday in Boston harbor and an LNG ship was coming out as we were coming in. It was surrounded be the usual coast guard ships and other boats for protection. So I tell my helsman to tack at one point to get out of the way of a USCG boat. I told him we had the right of way, but he had guns. Last I heard, he was still laughing, but then you'd have to have been there.

On Sydney harbour, the local harbour traffic laws give warships right of way above all others. The locals remember is by the saying: "If it's big and grey, get the f*ck out of the way!"
