| Arlen Specter will be re-elected to the Senate in 2010.
The Democrats need a veto-proof majority for their agenda but dont have a high visibility candidate in PA to replace him. A lot of other Dem seats across the country will be closely contested. They will support Specter through the election, but quite probably ease him toward retiring early and pass the safe seat to someone younger. |
