Irrational pessimism has consumed the market coupled with fearmongering so that people sell. The smart ones will be loading up on stocks even buying risky ones like AIG Citi & GM. A wave of Chinese buying will be the key to saving grace. Of course US soveriegnity will be severely compromised to an alleged hostile nation as most believe.
