Oliver North says that people at CIA are being told to get their own lawyers.  Think about the questions a CIA drone would need to fill out on his/her aplication for individual professional liability insurance.  Sources say it's happening.  Can foreners own American insurance companys?  Yes.  Team coheasion is unconstitutional in Obamas America.  So is your lawyer going to agressivly advocate for your rights or position themselves to not be charged crimanaly for helping you to much.

 

One of the key ellements of a multi-party democracy is secure retirement for former members of goverment.

 

What W is O will be.

 

If the members of team Obama feel that loss of a branch of goverment by their party will lead to their crimanal procecution they will not think so clearly when deciding how hard to push to deffeat GOP.  Off balance agression by underlings could back lash O.  Moveon.org hasn't.

How can you shoot some one if it's a crime to sleep deprive them.  What about their rights before capture?

O intends to turn his stock in GM into voting shares, I mean the goverment owned shares into voting stock.  Will that mean Obama apoints a portion of the board of directors equal to the precentage of stock held by the goverment.  That would be a show.

 

Watch for friction over which GM plants are carried by the goverment and which ones are closed.  Compair it to the base clossing commisions.  Obama can protect Dem Polls by keeping their plants open and letting them say they did it wile cutting GOP polls by closing the plants in their states.  Never happen in Americs?  Remember the base closing commisions.  Thing is we have no reason to belive that that patter of plant clossings will do anything to make GM a successful seller of cars.

 

GM is shutting down plants for nine weeks this summer.  The open reason is that the blotted inventory must be shrunk.  Storing cars you arn't selling is expencive.  Paying the interest on the steal you made into car you arn't selling is expencive.  I get it.  (workers might still get paid much of their rate but I'm not shure.)   The less open reason is that the more real the company can make people fear of permanet shut down the more pressure for goverment to keep them open. Military bases that were getting flack from surounding civialian goverment and people have been rummored to pay all base employees and personel in two dollor bills.  The shop owners complain about how hard it is to sort the two's in the cash drawers and then they get it.  That base is paying my bills.  (This must have happened back when people were payed in cash.)

RNC looks bad crying about Spector.  Remember all the Dems who crossed iales.  Some of the left office gave back moeny raised as a Dem and started over from scratch but not very many.  Live by the sword die by the sword.

Unexploded Bomb Theory

 

The bomb that dose not explode distroyes more resources than the one dose.  I am thinking of WWII bombing of British war plants.  The exploded bomb causes damage that gets repaired. The unexploded bomb shuts the plant down just the same and some times for a longer period of time. 

 

If O gets his ideas out into law that is an exploded bomb.

 

If we get delay and ecconomic leaders have to work around the posibility that some kind of dramatic change could happen at any time that is an unexploded bomb.  One distortes the ecconomy and then lets it adapt.  The other frezzes it and keeps it frozzen.

Nailing down the keystone state for the Dems and for the Obamaist wing of the Dem party in primarys are important goals for team O.  Remember PA was a key stumbling stone for Obama against Hill.  Picking off Spector helps on both counts. 

 

The danger in this oportunity is that the Dems need a GOP that is stable and firmly in second place.  That is the Dems ticket to be stablely in first place.  Not much stability in the GOP right now.  All that balot assess and some one is going to use it.  The libral dems when asked about the need for a third American party were fond of saying that they would be happy if it had a second party.  The old dimes worth of difference not being enough for them.  Back then the left wing of the Dem party said that both party were wholey owned propertys of the banking and other industrys.  That dosn't roll of their tounges so easly now.  They were saying that the Dems in control of the Dem party were too much like the Republicans in control of the county (think 1980's).  Now the party is on the other foot.  The Obama wing is holding forth in the party and the party is on top of the country.  Do they want a second party or not?  They want the right kind of right party.  One that is comfortable in second place and not very inventive or atractive.  As the Dems take over more and more political space they may lower the barriers to entry into the political conversation by lowering the demand/cost of slots in Republican party.  New interests could buy in.  That is even more true in regines where GOP is weakest.  If there isn't a Republican in state wide office and the congresional districts are all safe Dem,  then the kinds of people who fight for GOP slots on the balot will change.  That creates space for the recombanation of political DNA.  A breading ground for new political formations.  Good in theory for democracy and bad in practice for Democrates. 

 

Dems need a GOP that is strong enough to stay unifed (and stationary as in stationary target as in sitting duck) but weak enough to only generate atenuated forms of political inovation.  The atenuated forms of protest serve as inoculations rather than as pandemics. 

 

The party out of power in a democracy is at the same time the understudy, cridic/protestor and stage hand.  How might Iraqi have happened differently if the dems were more understudy and stage hand and less protestor.  How many bones do the Dems need to through the GOP to keep it some what engaged in stage hand work.  What if the GOP splits into the wing that wants a job at NBC when they retire and the wing that wants a job at FOX.  You can't jet much satifaction nailing them to the wall once they lear to be jello. 

 

That lame chicken hawk attack made by the "fight'en Dems" is going to be replaced by the bloody dove attack made by the re-right GOP.  Those "fight'en Dems" were a red hering that worked.  Some peace activists who can't get their books noticed are going to run as North East Republicans against a bogged down Obama.

 

What will the new new right look like?

There is a lot of pent up libral demand in America.  In no place is this more concentrated than the four libral members of the Supream Court.  They want to get off the merry go round as baddly as they want to do anything except insure they get a libraly replacement.  O is their ticket out.  I bet they have little back chanles to O and are planing a mass retirement.  The timing will work around the midterms.  The first replacement will be desighned to make GOP oposition apear foolish.  Bait and trap.  Then they can cook the frog by pushing further each time.  The first apointment will be a reverse reflection of Roberts.  She will be left but have a carefully groumed past to give right no tracktion for oposition.  The kind of person who started aditioning for the supream court in law school.  A worker bee judge who keeps her own counsel.  She will be young and politicly "curouse"  about progresive causes. 

 

Those life time apointments keep getting longer.

You do not have to tax the people if you simply print the money you need.  Printing one trillion and throwing it into circulation is why the Chineese said they were not loaning the US any money. 

When the public sees their cost of living esculate over the next 7 years to twice what it is today even the poor supporters of Obama will jump ship, not to mention the tax payers who will still pay taxes on top of their cost of living increase.

It is looking more and more like the Jimmy Carter days when inflation also got out of hand.  He was reduced to a one term president and the public was saved when Reagan cut the inflation in half his first year.

Jim Wallis in the May 09 Sojourners mag under the HEARTS & MINDS heading stated that "budgets are moral documents."  He was happy that a saying he had worked to get into circulation was there under O.  He adds that traditional faith communitys have a calling to care for the "poorest children." 

 

In these statements Wallis is corect.  He goes on to piggy back a bag of falaces on his donkey of truth.

 

"Protecting the vulnerable" is a good thing but .....     Wallis seams more interested in diminishing those at the top of the pyrimid than making good services avalible at the bottom.  (The Fortune at the Bottom of the Primid reference is intentional.

 

"Streanthoning the middle class" is great but  ......       Wallis seams to interpret "strengthening" as an increase in solodarity and counnchuseness more than an increase in options, power and quality of life.  Make middle class people richer is backwards republican thinking.  Making them politicly mobalized for O is real progress. 

 

Remember it "Takes a Vilage to Raise a Child." What we really got from goverment under that bumper sticker was not more or better vilages but more centralized goverment in child raiseing. 

 

 

 

Did any one ever tell you to clean your plait because African children were starving.  I bet they were just making it easyer for themselves to do the dishes.  Making American kids fat or otherwise clean their plates dosn't help African children any more than Wallis proscritions serve their reported intention.

 

Wallis bathes is the free lunch falise.  Govement programs cost and benifit analisis is deeply scued in Wallis world.  Taxing helps poor people twice, first when it sticks it to the people who don't "pay their fair share"  and then when it gets spent on the poor.  It's a propetual mothin machine of blessings for the poor until you acualy try it.  Taxing the rich causes them to hire fewer people.  The people they don't hire are frequently poor.  The spending of goverment moeny on the poor has mixed results.  The front line spenders can get confused about what help is.  Is it good to put food in their bellys if it dosn't increase their political concuseness.  Is it not better to use goverment programs to increase the suffering of the poor so we can build iresitable force for real change.  Think about how pre-workfare wellfair prepaired project resedents for the private work force.  That was intentional.  O is gutting workfare and doing it with the stim spending but doing it permanetly.

 

Inequality v. poverty.  Do we want to lift the very bottom up?  Would we rather pull the undeserving rich down?  The deserving rich like Edwards keep their moeny eather way because they have the conections to get great breifing on tax loopholes and earning oportunitys.  They not only fly in private jets to cry about global warming but they deserve to spend lots of moeny on the lawyers and lobests who keep them rich in the highly regulated ecconomic envirment.  When the Dems are soking it to the rich they always mean the undeserving rich which mostly means the Republican rich.  Republican rich being defined as any one who make real moeny but dosn't donate the proper % to the Dem party.

 

Wallis go oon to praise the green ecconomy, it's the theam of the whole issue.  When you hear green collor think about the mutant love child of the unions and the EPA.  If you hire a few no work employees (shop stewards/envirment stewards/creation care workers) we could avoid finding a wetland in your property.  What will they do with their time wile you are paying them?  Campaine for Dems and envirmental bills ofcource- working for a "just and sustainable" future.

I see Spector singing.  I can hear it.  The sound comming from SF have intranced him.  With fear and trembling he sings, "Don't Dream It, Be It."  (Or what ever other part of the Rocky Horror sound track comes to mind.)  Then he reaches down and pulls up the leg of his conservative suit.  No one is more surprised than he to see revealed there a fish net stocking.  He strips down to his corset and stocking and jumps into the Dem pool where he for the first time in his life knows what it means to be happy and loved.  Enjoy the cruse senotor, enjoy the cruse.

You may get to fight to the death to protect my right to say that Michel savage is a terorist.  Or  You can't stop me from saying the white man is the devil. 

 

The idea was floated to have quotas in death penelty cases.  It was quietly droped because sounder minds described what casses with white defendents would become.  The defence aturney would colect a large and lured sample of quotes from procecuters in cases where none whites were not sentenced to death.  Procecuters are very evocative and compelling or they wouldn't get the big cases.  Then after setting that tone the white mans deffence aturney would argue that his client did not rise to the real threashold of the death penelty but was only being killed to squaire up the goverments quotas.  That is not the kind of discusion a democracy wants on the public record. 

 

A new kind of absurd quota is creeping into goverment (and press) language guidlines (style bibles).  All lists of terrorist must always have more than 10% fat white guys and never more than 10% muslims.  If this means that organizing rape squades to attack refuge camps isn't always terrorism but that giving the muslim people of the world retorical greif about the rape squodes is some times terrorism that is the cost of living in the new normal. 

 

Mike Savage says that Home Secretairy Jacky Smith (Britons answer to Janet Palenton at DHS and they do have the feel of the same cloth about them) has ordered British cival servants to call Islamic terrorist "persons engaged in anti-islamic activety."  Islamic terrorism dose hurt musslims more than anyone else.  But.  The verbage is a bit torrtured.  Savage is on Britons list of persons to dangerious to enter Briton. He shot back with stock jabs about British food and dental hygean.

 

We don't really want to turn our published terror watch lists into jokes.
