Bill Clintons debreifing following his dinner with Kim Ill was done by Bill Richerson.  Richerson swiched hources from Clintons to O at a very helpful time for O in the primary againsst Hill.  

Richerson is aparently holding talks with N. Korean representitives in the US soon.

O noticed that his bully to pulpit ratio was going the wrong way so he called up some pastors.  Now he belives that if he is talking to both wight social justic pastors and black social justice pastors then he is being by partison.  He evan talked to a conservative talk radio host who was so concervative that he endorsed O for the oval.  What reach? 

 

(Judise said that expencive perfume could have been sold and given to the poor because he was stealing out of the purse.  Jesus repllied "you will always have the poor with you."  The Christain messsage is much more about inviting specific sick or poor people into your home to live with you than it is about building a empathic insurance industry.  The bible is to radical for most people to read it.)

 

He borowed some buzz words.  Repeated the "bugets are moral documents" bit.  And hoped it would stop the bleeding with seniors, suburban women and independents.  Much of the hotest resistance is comming from retired church attenders.  Moms who do the health planning for the family wouldn't mind a free lunch if they thought it was comming. Mostly they just want to know what will happen to their faimlys.  The air of centrism O was abble to generate is being displaced by his actions.

 

O was able to make powerful attacks against Mc.  O has had much less success in doing thing broad segments of the nation like.  That could become a formual for goverment shut down.  Expect inhanced securety as the confrence committee meets.

The denotation is so true as to make the statment unesary.  The conotation is that Progressive bugets are moral and persons who oposie them are imoral.  That is not true.  Progressives accuse corporations w/ are not own by Al Gore of internalizing profits and externalizing cost to the goverment or the envirment.  They even confuse the goverment and the envirment w/ each other.  They can point to specific problems and would do well to attach specific solutions.  Narrow or focused solutions don't inhance your rep with progressives. 

 

Corporations were the enemy but they have found that the power of the corporation can be enlisted in their cause.  It is much easyer to microtarget a hand full of CEOs than to engage the minds of the voting population.  Small busnes is a enemy will big corporations can be resorces (some times).  They have a localism wing as well which lilkes small busness as long as they own them.

 

The big problem is that the unwilling ness to turn the same critical analisi against the goverment programs they want to replace private sector activety.  They rail against the profits of insurance companys because those profits became the war chest to protect the statuse quo.  First constrain the profits and then move the politics wile the enemys hands are tied.  They present the idea to the world that public sector activety is with out profit.  This is intentional selective blindness.  The moeny is in the ice box to prove that public sector works generate off book profits.  They also pay some big sallarys to the wives of important polls.  Michel O got a big raise when her husband move up to the 100 club.  Then when she resined to be first lady they didn't feel the need to replace her.  I'm not saying it was a no work job.  I'm saying it wsa a union steward job where the private sector pays the cost of a worker who really dose polotics rather than private sector work.  In exchange the private sector employer gets some favor from the party/goverment.  Informal regulatory relife, more timly payment of goverment funds, absence of labor action, you get the picture.  We will not get that "profit" moeny into the care for paitents but will see it moved toward political dividens rather than taxable ones.  Never for get that blogo shoke down a childrens hospital for campaine donations in exchange for relising goverment funds the hospital was other wise entitaled to.

Look the the New York Stock Exchange dose any things that can and should be questioned.  They are still no where near as crocked as the Social Securety Administration.  S bills which the S.S. Admin. "sells" to wage earners are infact counterfit T-bills.  People think they are getting the same thing we sell to China Inc. but it anin't so.  The interest rate is arbitrairly lower and the terms of redemtion are well, unkown because no one has ever redeamed a S-Bill.  The fedutairy responcibility of any one selling investments in the United States requires people be put into "apropriat to the investor" investments.  S-Bills are never apropriate to anyone.  The T-Bill may not be best but it is always clearly beter to the investor than the S-Bill.  The purpuse of S.S. is not to generate wealth for people but to fund projects that congress members can name after themselves.

Wile arguing that he had lots of good reasons for reapointing Bernake besides the fact he couldn't handle another round of congresional hearing on anything let alone the stim, O said, "I have said that we can not go back to an ecconomy based on over leveraged banks, inflated profits and maxed out credit cards."  What we need is an ecconomie based on over leveraged goverment bugets, an inflated dollor and maxed out regulation of the tax base.  Re-apointing Bernake was not a violation of his "i will make no news on vacation" pledge.  It was a way to talk down debet fear with out making news by admitting debt was scairy.  We will grow out of it and taxing eletricity will help us grow. 

 

Blomberg sued and court said that just because the records make a company look uncompetitive dosn't make the records legaly privalaged (secret) even if the goverment owns the company.  Well the goverment is lending moeny to some companys with colateral no one else would touch and then buying a few other companys. 

 

Too much hot moeny chasing to little product.  Take two bail outs and call me when inflation hits 10%.  Then we will wright a brand new snazzy law that will fix it all and still not require any dicipline from anyone.  Thats what we didn't ever sence half the people in congrass have been in congress- kick the can down the road.

National Health has become the "SAVE THE DONKEYS ASS BILL OF 2009." Come hell or high school O is going to get a bill. Old conventional wisdom: GOP wants to obstruct to win seats.  New conventional wisdom: Dems want illusion of success to avoid colapse.  Problem for them is that they still need to chose an illusion.

 

If the coverment is going to jail or fine people for not buying health insurance (which is the only way to get past the pre-existing condition loophole) then your preamioms become a tax.  Tax bills must origenate in the House.  The fig leaf O is praying for from the Senot is unconstitutional.  Never stoped anyone before.

Member of Congress "What good is reading the bill when it's a thousand pages and you don't have two days and two laywers?"  With the Patriot did it again.  Then with the stimulaus act they did it again.  Then with Obamacare they are not even pretending to mind much.  In one example a 16 Billion dollor bill would have required reading 208 pages an hour for 16 hours over night between the final committee products release and the floor vote.  Only staffers read bills and they team read them looking for gatcha lines they can hand their boss.  The people who write the bills know how to make the bill as intelegable as compialed computer code so that they only allow the gacha llines they serve their purpuse.  Policy is formed at the apelit court level!  Executive branch funtionairys who write adminisstrative rules for the implementation of the bill have more policy impact than members do in mark up/committee work.  Members real power is the ability to look over the sholders of executive funtionairys and tell them what the bills ment ... in a room alone, off the record and long after the final passage.  The power to harase executive branch fununaires under the guise of consticuancy service or the investegation of misconduct or just oversite is much more important to members than the mondain and suprisingly irelevant work of crafting law.  Policy is formed at the apelit court level! O sandwhiched the aniversairy of Sept. 11 between an adress to congress on national health and a speach on banking regs.  He named it a day of service and rememberance but the service to remeberance ratio wasn't something he wanted to balance.  Service didn't apear to conected much to militairy service.  Dose he mean law enforcement, fire fighters and EMT's?  He calls for a domestic service that is as well funded and respected as the DoD.  What type of service dose he have in mind?

 

The war formaly know as the GWOT continues but O apears dedicated to keeping it on the second or third page.  He can get away with fighting just as long as he apears a little bit ashamed of it.  W's crime may not have been killing but expressing pride in the sevise personel who carried out the orders.  Allowing American's pride in the members of the armed servises constitues unilateral disarmerment on the part of the Dems.  Marginalizing W as a war crimes freak was no suficent to defeat him but it was very nessary to disrupting his domestic agenda.  Allowing Americans to feel fermilar w/ the practical realitys of the world out side their domestic peace buble undercuts Dem comunication stratigy.  People out there suffer greatly and American must be compelled to belive that suffering is caused by their goverments Republican habits.  American do want to save the world.  Alowing Republicans any success distroys Dems political prospects.  O can't abandon AG because he must be stong like the republicans but ashamed of that strenght.  Expect more confusion.
