"She is a front runner who expresses the wishes of the majority of the people"

So was Nixon at one time and another.

It is possible that she could win.  Her presidency would not age well though.  Think about the third and forth years.  She can whitenuckle her way through the campaign.  Even a long campaign.  By 2010 she will be neither loved nor feared.  Angry supports will yell from our TV screens that "the president is not in a bunker mentality."  That what her "friends" will be saying.

The left wing that prides it's self on insolence and disobedience will insolently disobey her.  If not early then very often.  The "Christan Democrats," Catholics, blue collar rank and file and ethnics who value tradition ain't going to rally to her.  She can deal with them but they may expect payment in advance.  Now that Republican evangelicals have a visible place in leadership the Democratic evangelicals will be less willing to sit in the back of the bus.  (She can paint her self as the Methodist church lady from the middest but that justs makes them more comfortable asking for real concessions that cut in to the secular activist McGovernite establishment in the party.)

In the Congress the Republican could have a small younger minority that comfortable with each other to see who is more like Newt Gingrich.  "We can't stop you from passing that bill but we can sure take all the glory out of it."

An unconventional candidate (she is a competent hard worker in a nation that elects people who enjoy playing rock star.) building an electoral majority by bringing in unconventional voter (the strategy is to drive up the participation rates of women voters who feel shorted by traditional America and want activist government to make them whole.) will not lead to a conventional term in office.

Her negatives are way too high.

Her last polls numbers against Republicans showed that she would lose.

Too many scandals that make for easy pickings.  Her closet is so full of skeletons that I am surprised she can sleep at night.

The Clinton's mobilize the conservatives like no one else.

She is not warm and fuzzy like her husband.

She has made major errors in her campaign giving far left candidates a shot of beating her at the primary polls.

After 20 years of Bush/Clinton/Bush - the U.S. voters are tired of the dynasties.

In Dem. primary the are candidates who get more support on the wine track and on the beer track.  The wine track are educated professionals.  The beer track are blue collar populists.  Obama dose better with the wine track and Hill like bill dose better with the beer track.

Absolutely every facet of Hillary's existance is either scandlous or incompetent.  The Clintonistas have portrayed her as this genius beyond mortal intelligence, the power behind Bill's throne.  Now that the limelight is on her, Oh what a disappointment.  No matter who she is compared to, she comes up wanting.  She doesn't have Bill's charm, doesn't have Bill's ability to lie to a crowd's face and make them like it; she doesn't have Nixon's compassion, Johnson's integrity, Carter's management skills.  I think the Republicans, the smart ones, are hoping for her to be nominated.  The only way for her to win is for a majority of voters to simply not believe that anybody can be that bad.
