Civilian war deaths in Lebanon will exceed civil war deaths in Israel by at least a 10:1 ratio at 2006 year end (BBC news and Red Cross figures to be used in case of dispute).
BBC is reporting at least 18 Israeli civilians killed so far. Civillian deaths in Lebanon are currently estimated in the hundreds, but firm numbers are not available.

1000 civilian deaths in Lebanon does indeed outnumber 43 civilian deaths in Israel by more than 10 to 1
