Pacific Ocean (Feb. 14, 2005) ? Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Eleven (EODMU-11), Detachment Nine, fast rope from an HH-60H Seahawk helicopter to the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) during an exercise. Carl Vinson is on a scheduled deployment and will arrive in Norfolk, Va., upon completion of her deployment to prepare her for refueling and a complex overhaul. I belive this is actually rappeling; fast roping is done with a thicker rope sliding down firemans pole style
