For what it's worth, the Russians won't be our bosom buddies if we throw money at them, but neither will they be resentful enemies if we don't. Russia and America will co operate where they have common interests and won't where they don't. This is a big country remember. The rationale for getting involved with Russia is that it is a good trade opportunity and also a country that is trying to be democratic. No democracy has ever declared war on another democracy. That alone is a reason to help

Nonsense-it is because we understand our selves very well. In my opinion, Russia in the new incarnation will/could be a magnificent ally. Under any terms. They are us/we are them. I wish them the best
