Who will buy Tyson's leftover chicken parts? Poultry is the leading US export to Russia. They like our chickens.

That's what I said.

Shure the potential is there, and Russia would be a great country - if it weren't for the Russians. I've seen to many trying to get at the russian market - and come running home after a couple of run-ins with various mafia groups. The only reason Western investors keep their eyes open for Russian investment opportunities is the lack of suitable investment opportunities in the west. When interest rate is approaching zero, the question is not so much how much money you as investor will make - but how little you lose. When the crunsh comes, and it will, the hot air in the investors fortunes is squeezed out. At the moment Russia is interesting, because it can move only one way - up. My prediction is - it won't. Germany is interested because Russia has something Germany has not - oil. When oil prices come down - the capital flop will bring activity down - Russia has nothing to offer.

You hit the nail. When the biggest export to Russia is poultry (it has the quickest protein growth of any meat), and Russia being an agricultural country - they'll farm their own chicken - so Russia does not need the US or any other nation for that matter - and the rest of the world will do splendidly without Russia.

Sure your predictions are so heavily-weighed to me. The only reason I see Russian economy to go down is US dollar collapse. Russia has nothing to offer except oil? Sure thing. But on the other hand, what will your lovely EU do without Russian oil? Or EU will force its citizens to ride bikes? >>>and the rest of the world will do splendidly without Russia. It depends from which perspective you look at it.

Russia's future is lies within Europe. NATO is going to be disbanded and the EDF formed, where Russia is taking part of.

>>Russia has nothing to offer except oil? Sure thing. Bull. Russia has a highly educated workforce, large deposits of scarce resources (especially being rich in titanium), and a very low standard of living, which makes labour in Russia very cheap. >>Russia's future is lies within Europe. Much more likely. The Europeans, especially ,the Germans, have much more to gain from investment in Russia. The main problem is one of transport - without easy access to the oceans, and with the PRC as a competitor for cheap skilled labour, it's far more likely that they will deal with people on their own continent (and, I assure you, the Germans would much rather have cheap Russian guest workers than ones from Turkey). >>NATO is going to be disbanded and the EDF formed, where Russia is taking part of. The EDF is a joke, but with Russian manpower and German hardware, it might work. Just keep the French out of your command structure.

I would like Russia to be a strong country ensuring freedom, peace, stability and prosperity in the region (the former CCCP). Something along the lines of the central role Germany plays in the EU not taking into account recent events. While it may not be Russia the superpower I think this would be a very honorable and usefull role for Russia to fulfill in the future and a good thing for Russia too.

I'm only 15 years of age so please bare with me, I in United States and think its running well. I'm currently learning about CCCP , anyways unlike some people I think Russia will infact do great in the future , plus doing great know. Only reason United States is in good shape is because they are new and learned from other governments mistakes. Russia is a way older country and the position there in just amazes me, I hope they keep it up and not fail in the future.

Russia is historically a very unlucky country. Lots of moronic rulers damaged the national consciousness poorly. I am Russian and love my country a lot. But I have to admit that the society is too corrupted. 'Rich' and 'honest' are contradictory concepts in Russia. I am very unsure about the future. One can only hope.
