Subject: Mail order Russian brides .... why?

So whats the deal with all the mail order Russian brides? I bet I get three or four spam emails a week offering websites and things about them. Is this the result of the poor economy and bleak outlook or what? It'd be something to be willing to marry pretty much a stranger and move half way around the world, leaving your life, family, and everything youve ever known behind. PS: I'm married myself ... but damned if a few of them arent pretty hot!

Eastern Europe has an alcohol problem which goes beyond what we see here. Thirty years ago, my wife and I were in Czestochowa, Poland on a Saturday morning. The majority of representatives of the male population within sight of us were falling down, passing out, throwing up drunk. This was before ten. There was hardly any room on the benches in the bus station because of all those who went there to pass out.

The alcohol problem in Russia sounds worse. Alcohol can turn men into pigs. And then there is the Russian mafia. You might get more than you expected.

If you were a good looking Russian woman, what would you do? Stay in Russia so you can marry a vodka drunk? Maybe you want to work for the Russian mob as a prostitute? What kind of job prospects do pretty Russian women have over there? Getting married to a foreigner, preferably an American, sounds like the path to a much better life.

Pay $2000 and go on the Trident Connections tour and find out just how nice the Russian babes are and just how desparate they are to get out of the Ukraine to raise their 1+ children. Just about all have at least one kid. Living in a one room flat with a really crappy factory job and most men unemployed or already married. Trident gets it both ways. the girls pay to be "pimped" in a photo-shoot and listed, then the Americans pay to contact them. Estimated expense to go through the program and marry is $5500.00 ......A bargain for true love.

How Bad is it in Russia exactly?
I don't hear about Other third world Nations ofering Brides?
But It seems worse than Mexico as far as I know.

I saw a study a few years back (around 1997) don't know how much things have changed.
Electrically

In Mexico most of the people have electrically. Russia varies from 65 to 75 percent in the cities to 20 to 30 percent countryside. Should note that most of Mexico had electrically before the U.S. did.

Plumbing
Most Mexicans have indoor plumbing. Less then 50% of Russians have indoor plumbing and it gets a lot colder in Russia.

Ask your grandfather what it was like going outside in the wintertime. Most outhouse's were not heated.

Medical

Most Mexicans have better access to doctors. The doctors have better equipment, better training and better access to drugs.

Houseing

Mexico, more space, better living conditions.

Food

Mexico, more and better

Good thing we don't have a border with Russia.

besides the uncontrolled capitolism and very powerfull and connected mob, much of this proble might stem from the fact that much of russia's urban population was the working poor (very poor) when they were at their peak, and with very high unemployment rates and generally poor economic outlook in general, these urban people have to do whatever it takes to survive and many women (or their families) would prefer this to prostitution (which is very rampant there) as the promise of a man to permanently support them (or their families) may seem preferable to grinding out a miserable little streetwalker existence of exploitation, poverty, violence, and disease.

yah Mexico is much better....................get out, get out and run please run to the end of the world and jump off a cliff, Mexico city is one of the most nastiest places on earth, you think the Russians have it bad, I dont think so I have been to both. Russia is not only 100 times better its 1000 times better. I forgot but did the Mexicans ever rival the USA like the Russians did? did the Mexicans loose about 80 million of their own people, fought in two great wars achived space flight? have the world biggest army and many many moreI dont think so..... so stop it please for your own sake.

Yah things may be bad, but they will get better and not only in Russia in Mexico too. Globalization people and we need to help the gap get filled up.

I am glad you have been to both. I have been there too (visiting my wife’s family). Yes parts of Mexico City can be nasty (reminded me of parts of New York City) but there are very nice parts too. New York City has less poor people but then you are a lot more likely to be murdered in New York too.

Sorry they stayed out of the war and did not get a much of there people killed. Since it didn’t seem like the war had anything to do with them they didn’t see any reason to enter it.

They never achieved space flight

But NASA did have some engineers and scientists from south of the border.

As for did the Mexicans ever rival the USA.

In the early part of the 1900's they had electrified most of there country before the

U.S.

had even started,
They had more industry then the

U.S.

at that time too.

They did drop the ball big time since then.

There medical care was more advanced then too.

And worst of all in some areas of pediatrics and eye surgery they are still more advanced and American doctors go down there for training.

In Russia there are more women than men. Actually, all of the Eastern European countries have more women than men. The men in Russia have a lower life expectancy than women, this is mainly due to excess alcoholism and excess smoking on behalf of the men. Most Russian men also have low sex drives due to these unhealthy lifestyles, and many treat their women like some a blabbering nuissance that won't leave them alone.

In the country sides of Russia, whole villages and communities have been destroyed due to the high death rate of men. When men enter their houses they usually drink vodka to warm themsleves up due to the cold weather. The women in the country sides have no choice but to leave their crumbling villages and towns in search of work in more thriving communities. With more and more men dying at young ages a big chunk of the next generation Russians are being brought up in households without a father figure.

In the US there are actually slightly more women than men, just slightly. This partially includes the illegals(mostly men) who cross the border into the US. Needless to has there are many areas in Mexico with more women than men due to illegal immigration into the US. Some women have started to protest in Mexico that illegal immigration is destroying communities in Mexico.
