Granting Kosovo independence is a huge mistake

I wanna go on the record that a decision to recognize kosovo will come back to bite us in the %%%.
These guys basically said to hell with the UN agreements that were painstakingly made, we're gonna declare independence anyway.
They KNOW damn well that this will lead to war with Serbia when they took that decision. And they KNOW damn well from recent experience what war is like. And they still chose for independence despite of the fact that it breaks earlier agreements and despite of the fact that it puts Kosovo on a crash course with Serbia and despite of the fact that this creates huge problems for the UN/Nato members that came to their rescue only recently.
Personally, I am done with Kosovo. After all the money and effort we have expended into first protecting them and after that again spending a huge amount of money and effort to create a LIVEABLE agreement for all involved, they turn around and pull this crap on us. But we are still good enough to do their fighting for them and protect them from a backlash from Serbia which they have created.
What suprises me is that everyone seems very keen to grant them independance, which in my opinion is rewarding this Palestinian like behaviour.
I'm done with Kosovo, there are more deserving people and places for our efforts. 2 wars of which 1 world war caused by that accursed region are enough for me.

--Reaffirm the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (i.e., Kosovo was to remain part of the FRY, to which Serbia is now the recognized successor state) and the other States of the region, as set out in the Helsinki Final Act and annex 2 of UNSCR 1244 (an annex that envisions, inter alia, a Kosovo status process);--
Bolton is also not that eager:
