Subject: terrorists live and children die

Its kind of a shame no one discuses what's going on in Kosovo these days. Almost a daily rape and murder by terrorists against the serbian minority, the destruction of over 50 christian churches and religous monuments. Its not safe for Serbian children to swim in a river or walk to school, this is Clintons Legacy.

I agree. I was looking to Macedonia about a month ago, because I remembered that, during the Clinton administration, there were, at one time, 800 Anerican troops there. I've been trying to find out if they are still there. What I did find is that Greece is giving them grief over their departure from them. The Macedonian press makes constant references to ethnic Albanian terrorists. Here's some press releases for today from The Centre for Peace in the Balkans: [headline first, URL below] One Degree of Separation - Al Qaeda Links to Bosnia Revealed link Centre for Peace in the Balkans condemns acts of racism link New Paramilitary Army is Ready in Macedonia! link and this from Reality Macedonia Kosovo: Policemen Killed, Wounded; Serb Youth Assaulted PRISTINA , Nov 24 link Paul Johnson, in his sensational book, "Modern Yimes" link pointed out that, were it not for World War I, the war in the Balkans at that time, would have been pointed to as the most important war of the early twentieth century. Most people are unaware of the fact that although World War I was cosidered to be a European war, it began in Sarajevo:"A tiny clipping from a newspaper, mailed without comment from a secret band of terrorists in Zagreb, capital of Croatia, to their comrades in Belgrade, was the torch which set the world afire with war in 1914." link Sarajevo was the capital of Bosnia. Once again we have a forgotten war in the Balkans

How is this Clinton's legacy exactly? The Bush administration has shown zero interest in maintaining peace in Kosovo. Clinton and NATO prevented Milosevic from carrying out more atrocities in Kosovo. The 1999 military action against Serbia was not expected to solve an ages old ethnic problem. The Serbs and the Albanians in Kosovo need to resolve their problems without resorting to violence. The West can do little more than prevent large scale atrocities from happening again. The UN peacekeeping forces in Kosovo aren't doing a great job. However, what is the alternative? Let the Serb ultra-nationalists re-invade Kosovo and continue the ethnic cleansing? Sure, Milosevic might be gone now but the ultra-nationalists still wield significant power in Serbia. The Albanians and their KLA terrorist groups need to end their acts of violence also. This is doing nothing but giving the Serbs another reason to intervene in Kosovo again. It is unrealistic and childish to blame this problem on a previous US administration.
