| USS Wahoo Found!
Russian divers working in the Sea of Japan are believed to have found the wreck of USS Wahoo (SS 238), the most famous American submarine of World War II. From August 1942, Wahoo conducted seven war patrols, and is credited with sinking a total of 27 ships (c. 120,000 tons).
She was lost with all hands in October 1943. |
