NYMAS Lecture, Friday, May 19th: "Victory in Tripoli: How America's War with the Barbary Pirates Established the U.S. Navy and Shaped a Nation" On Friday, May 19th, NYMAS will host author Joshua London, speaking on "Victory in Tripoli: How America's War with the Barbary Pirates Established the U.S. Navy and Shaped a Nation," the subject of his recent book. NYMAS lectures, which are free to the public, begin at 7:00 pm sharp and last about two hours. They are held in the CUNY Graduate Center, on Fifth Avenue at 34th Street, in Manhattan.
