Mansoor, Senior Military Fellow Council on Foreign Relations, is the author of The GI Offensive in Europe: The Triumph of American Infantry Divisions,1941–1945, published by the University of Kansas Press.He received his Ph.D. in history from Ohio State University, taught military history at West Point, and was special assistant to the director for strategic plans and policy, The Joint Staff, 1997–1999. He is an active duty colonel in the United States Army and former commander of 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division in Iraq in 2003-4,currently serving as a senior military fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. WHERE: THE MAYORS OFFICE OF VETERANS AFFAIRS(MOVA) 346 Broadway(the entrance is at 108 Leonard Street, between Broadway and Lafayette Street) VERY IMPORTANT: The building has metal detectors and Photo I.D is required for the security check 8th Floor Conference Room.
