JHON    8/17/2002 2:47:29 PM
Events in Syria are dangerous enough , at momment syria is geting iran iraq to be allies. And healing the wounds.Syria is also trading with both countries in arms and other embargos.syria is makeing good friendship because of its national security etc.PERSONALLY syria does not have brain ,for any thing,so who is behind this,it is PAKISTAN ISI INTER SERVICE INTELIGENCE,masterminding this. pakistan has a big role in this it is some thing for them. They do not want syria to join u.s.a to fight iraq....I WONDER WHY.

Pakistan's ISI (Which is almost totally independant from any government control and is often called a State within a State) is probably not involved with Syria's government, as they tend to concentrate their affairs on smaller terror organizations such as HAMAS, al-Qaeda and Islamic Jihad/HizbAllah. Syria is most likely doing these on it's own accord and has a record of funding and aiding fundamentalist organizations which predates their former leader, Hafez al-Assadh. It is more likely that Iran's Pasdaran/IRGC or their intelligence agency, VEVAK.
