Subject: Al Quaeda makes a strategic mistake
Roman    11/9/2003 1:46:52 PM
The bombings targeting Westerners in Muslim countries were their preliminary mistakes, since they killed a lot of Muslims thus turning some against Al Quaeda. Then there was the arms cache in Mecca. Now, there is a bombing targeting Muslims themselves, albeit rich and Westernized ones. If this is a pattern, I can see Al Quaeda loosing much of its support among Muslims.

Yup. "We" were the targets, not muslims. Wow, and that makes it all better in the eyes of the islamo-facists.... riiiiiight. Thanks SW. Hey my post got nuked about "the truth..." etc, my parody of some of the trollish garbage we see. I'm telling you, it'll just be weeks before the arab press blames CIA and the "Zionists" for the attacks in saudi. Oh - a thought on the conspiracy theorist rant about the pentagon being a CIA plot - Please note that the holes in the Synagogues in Turkey are not consistent with the shape of a car. This proves that the CIA used hellfire missiles with Wile E. Coyote guiding them in. E.

One might ask oneself, "Why would Al Qaeda go to the trouble of finding a bunch of Lebanese Christians in Saudi Arabia to attack when there are a LOT more of them IN LEBANON?" What's more, Lebanese targets tend to be softer. The Saudis have been taking some efforts to guard potential targets over the last few years. There may well be significance in the choice of target, but it's a mistake to ignore the context of the attack. At the very least, part of the attack was directed against the Saudi regime, if only indirectly.
