We don't celebrate the day but do recognize her as the patron saint of artillery. She is toasted at all formal occasions and selected soldiers may be inducted into the Honorable Order of St. Barbara or the more exceptional Ancient Order. The induction ceremony interesting and requires a toast with a rather nasty concoction from a large cauldron,,, mine was spiked with a used and dirty artilleryman's sock!
