As a former shooter of M109a series, we hauled them out of the mud a lot. Won't proposed narrow tracks mean more stuck-in-mud events?

Yes :(. Wider IS better. In WWII the Germans learned it the hardway on the Russian front. Now if only they would use the same track system of the M60A3's then we would not even have a problem.
