What is this!? Professional soldiers yelling about bad conditions of the living couarters? Im swedish myself, and im suprised that american soldiers are complaining, if i would have gotten that standard during my military service i would be happy! Try sleeping outside all the time... Try taking a shower with a bottle of water every day... Try sleeping outside when it is 24 degrees below zero... Try doing this 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.. I thougt the american AF were supposed to be tuff, you sound like my baby-sister... GET REAL! You are soldiers! Get in line and shut up!!

Seriously speaking the good living conditions do nothing but help moral and keep men/women in peak performance. American taxpayers deserve to get their money's worth with our soldiers. Obviously it helps to keep them dry, well fed, reasonably safe and comfortable. Perhaps 1 of our troopers can do the job of 3 of yours?

They are pilots (and dang good ones) and support people who contribute alot during a war, but they aren't trained a soldiers. They are treated like freakin' kings when they go to war, while the Marines and the other branches have to make do with whatever they get. You don't hear any SOF, 10th mountain, 101st, 82nd, or 75th soldiers, or Marines complaining about the conditions, or at least you shouldn't. Heck, if I was in the 75th, I would be begging to be put in Afghanistan to see get into the action.

I was part of a sf unit in the war. Stop bitching about living conditions and try going out into the field. Exept when u pack ur ruck try ditchin the usuall 3 meals aday for extra ammo 2 mres are good and 4 extra mags. Drop hygene stuff for extra batteries for GPS, flashlights and nvgs. Take an extra stike plates for your vest and dont even think of a change of cloths. That space is taken up by extra med supplies just in case. You should be embarrassed!
