As many who has gone before and afterwards - it`s a pity we cannot be remembered by our Head of State. A simple Black wreath laid at the end and to allow us to visit for 1 hour (rememberance Sunday). I like so many performed and done what was needed but never to be recognised --- the queens warrent given to do whatever was needed.
My own part was not in the tradition of humanity but at least we kept the terorists at bay. I`m the last of the elite trying to fit in -- Is it right to be forgotten and your files, medals, battle honours, your rank, your history be shredded and finally no organisation will take you. Interesting to hear of cowards being made into heros, men able to sleep with their wives and girlfriends and honours given on board Victory for helping Civs. Do we die and our deeds die with us? Do our love ones get no recognition when we die in active service? Your views please as ---- I and my combat force was told "out of date, out of luck, not needed, world has changed and your too bloodly hot to have around accept in war" Now look what is happening in the world ....... If you serve or ex ask or make a point but be warned we the unnammed were combat vet & expendible. |
