Subject: Old Stingers

"In other words, those 1980s era Stingers are useless unless you replace most of the components. It's unlikely that Pakistan has any capability to refurbish Stinger missiles. "

Ahh, but you're forgetting about the resourcefulness of those little clan-run armories in the mountains of Pakistan. They can churn out workable AK-47s from scrap metal. I wouldn't put it past them to attempt to refurbish a Stinger or copy an SA-7.
