I usually (actually, "always") find Michael Yon's dispatches from Iraq much more engaging, and ultimately more convinving, than many of the MSM reports/editorials that concern or "originate" from Iraq. However, in reading several threads, I'm pretty certain that many posters disagree.

What are your opinions about his war reporting style and aptitude, especially vis a vis other media outlets? Is it biased? Is it credible/honest? Is it informative/accurate or not? Compared to whom? (Yours?)
There has recently been talk of a movie based on Mr. Yon's dispatches as an embed in the "Deuce Four" (1st Battalion 24th Infantry, US Army). The prime mover of this nascent endeavor is Bruce Willis, who attended Deuce Four's Homecoming Party, colloquially called the "Punisher's Ball." Willis' Producer, Stephen Eads, also attended. He was the producer of Armageddon and the Sixth Sense. A quick Google indicates that Mr. Willis' announcement hasn't garnered much media attention in spite of his media stature (at least not yet).

However, I expect his movie to get the same reception that was given to Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ." That's to say: It will be met with hostility and attempts to either sink it before its inception, or warp it into another "Jarhead". This attitude will be especially true of the vast majority of the Hollywood establishment and its Anti-warriors.
