"ATK, is still fixing the problem it had, which was the result of changing the formula for the rocket propellant several times to
comply with environmental regulations
".
This type of regulation enforcement is de facto 'insane'. The person and/or group that enacted and enforced this type of idiocy against military weapons has either, through unforgivable stupidity, completely misunderstood the purpose of a weapon or is actively supporting the enemies of the United States. Stupidity is incurable, but that is not a defense. Actively supporting the enemy is treason, and the perpetrators should be identified, indicted, convicted and shot.

Not the PROPELLANTS, the manufacturing process. The motors work fine when you consider the competition, just NOT to the quality the United States demanded in its weapons which was why the delays and the changes.
Another
factor to consider.
..
US manufacturing practices HAD to change. This was not a matter of environmentalism.
This was a matter of combat survival.
These solid rocket fuels have to be shelf storable and useable BY TEENAGERS.

EPA. Since their operational reasoning is that we are destroying the planet, you are the one committing treason.
If both parties were charged, I have no doubt that a JURY would come closer to finding you guilty then the average "Swampie" (environmentalist).
America is a faux democracy so the opinion of the multitudes does matter. So until you are ready to challenge the swampies at the ballot box, it is what it is. Shut up and Sojer. Or, as my sister the Former Marine Gunny says. "Suck it up maggot".
The US Military does not take their oath to protect a big pile of dirt between two oceans. It swears (or affirms) to protect an idea. That Idea is enshrined in the US Constitution. So if the duly constituted authority says reduce the pollutants you do it. If a Gunny tells you to suck it up, start sucking.

A few dirty rockets, genocide not make, but losing war to a genocidal agenda enemy would. What did Stalin say with respect to (environmental) political correctness? A death (dirty missile) is a tragedy, but millions (through a war and programs) is a statistic.
