I wonder if Infantry units would like to have a 7-tube launcher of these, instead of having to use their Javelins?
Small and light enough to mount on a track or Stryker, or even a Humvee. Why waste time trying to get a chopper on the scene when every Company commander could have one of these in his/her pocket?

Lasers can be blinded by smoke. The aimers F/Os needed to shine those lasers can be shot. IR from a one man portable user painter launcher cannot be.
THINK.

Run the numbers
Each missile weighs 14 kg, 7 rounds is 98 kg + launcher, around 150 kg total, plus designators (lets assume 6kg each). Infantry isn’t going to hump that.
Each Javelin missile weighs 16 kg in it’s container/launch tube, plus 6.4 kg for the CLU. So the Javelin is actually lighter to deploy, but has a larger warhead (8.4kg vs. 3 kg).
