hmmmm .... noted French Strategists .... Let's take a look at French Strategic victories since June 18, 1815. Waterloo. Next French Strategic Victory without outside - i.e. United States help is ... You mean the French have not won a single strategic victory without massive US aid since they lost - in Belgium of all places (see prior posts) - the battle of Waterloo? Didn't the Germans whip them sometime in the 1870's? How long did Maximillam last in Mexico? I don't recall any huge French Strategic victories between 1914 and 1918? Some guy named Pershing had to save their bacon. And 1940 was not exactly an up year on the Bourse. Did the French win in North Africa in 1942? The noted French Strategist DeGaulle who won a massive Strategic victory in Algeria following anothe massive French Strategic victory in Indochina must be spinning in his grave :-} Now if an assessment like that came from the US War College in Carlisle Barracks Pennsylvania I might be inclined to accept. But from the French????
