Doubt the UN will "do anything" truly effective in keeping the construction material from going to military uses.......... "Despite all this Israel has agreed to allow massive amounts of construction materials into Gaza in return for UN assurances that UN inspectors would monitor where the stuff goes. This is to see if the UN will do anything when confronted with obvious evidence of Hamas diverting construction materials to military uses."

That's because Hezbollah is counting on Israel bombing and creating civilian casualties in the next war.......... "Israel indicates if attacked it will bomb these facilities despite the presence of Lebanese civilians." What better way to have the world and those at the UN say that Israel is committing war crimes (the Islamic nation groups in the UN like the (OIC) Organization of Islamic Cooperation). Hezbollah (like ISIS) doesn't play by the rules, but Israel should? Wonder what France, Germany, or Russia would do if it had 100,000 rockets aimed and raining down on its cities? Would they play nice and by the rules??? Ah, who am I kidding? Putin would carpet bomb them to oblivion, and not give a damn what the UN and groups like the OIC think.
