Subject: Happy New Year (Shana Tova)!
Shirrush    9/29/2008 9:08:28 AM
Tonight is Rosh HaShana, the Jewish New Year.
That's when we're supposed to get serious about Kheshbon Nefesh, a reckoning of our past deeds and actions, so that we may live the next year!
How appropriate!
A thoroughly happy New Year to all of you then, and let's hope that we soon get to choose a wise leadership that'll help us make our country, er, normal!
There's so little time, and so much work!

HaYoreh, the First Rain, was here last Saturday. There wasn't much of it of course, but it gives us hope that it was just a preview of this coming Winter's blessings!

When we have a new year we tend to get serious about getting very, very drunk (combined with fireworks). The reckoning of past deeds would be the hangover on new years day I suppose.
