Heres hoping that 2008 will be an average year: Better than last year, but worse than the next.

Why not go for "best ever", a year of great achievements, prodigious victories, amazing breakthroughs,  above-average rainfall, a mild summer, awards-winning movies, great music and no Festigal (yeeech!), and no more war?

I don't go for all that because the odds are against me. I set myself achievable goals.

They don't make good movies anymore. It's against the law.

Battar, goals and wishes are not the same thing.

The odds you can modulate, and as for goals? A goal is a measured wish.

My wish is for a Human peaceful future.
My goal is to remove the bandits who are an impediment to that wish for all mankind.

Shirrush. aside.
Kirlian can do it, but I don't yet understand the 50 orders of magnitude difference between what we measure now, and  what you need to pull it off. Nor do I yet understand the non-destructive outcome of the event. Where did the heat go?

PM hypothesis later.

Aren't Herald's and Shirrush's goals a little hard to reconcile? How do you have good movies and a peaceful human future?
Imagine John Wayne saying, "Well if you don't like it, we can just have a dialogue to foster mutual understanding".

You didn't read the whole script.

John Wayne, the sheriff, has just hung four murdering thieving bandits. A terrified fifth bandit looks on as the hangman prepares a new rope...........John Wayne says:

"Well if you don't like it, we can just have a dialog to foster mutual understanding".

Hangman throws the new rope over the gallows beam. John Wayne pulls the death warrant out of his vest pocket for the fifth time to declare the judgment and verdict of the court.

"I'll talk, and you'll listen ...............................for a brief while."
